1. About This Plugin

Rapls Passkey (hereinafter referred to as “the Plugin”) is a WordPress plugin that adds passwordless authentication using passkeys (WebAuthn / FIDO2). It enables phishing-resistant sign-in with Touch ID, Windows Hello, Face ID, or a security key. Please read the following disclaimer carefully before using the Plugin.

2. Authentication & Security

The Plugin is designed to strengthen login security and improve phishing resistance through passkeys. However, actual behavior and results will vary depending on your browser, operating system, authenticator, server environment, installed themes, and other plugins. We make no guarantee that any unauthorized access or account compromise can be completely prevented. Passkey authentication requires a valid HTTPS environment (except on localhost) and a browser and authenticator that support passkeys.

Beware of lockout. When configuring features such as role-based passkey enforcement (Pro), always confirm your recovery options — recovery codes, the emergency RAPLS_PASSKEY_BYPASS constant, and the protection of the last administrator. Always test configuration changes thoroughly in a staging environment first.

3. Third-Party Services

Rapls Passkey Pro may optionally integrate with third-party services such as security webhooks (Slack / Teams / generic JSON), authenticator certification checks via the FIDO Metadata Service (MDS), and reCAPTCHA v3 on the password form. Use of these services is subject to each provider’s terms of service and privacy policy. Creating and using passkeys also depends on the passkey infrastructure provided by your browser or operating system (platform authenticators, password managers, etc.).

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

1. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Plugin and services provided through the Plugin, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, validity, reliability, safety, legality, or fitness for a particular purpose. We also do not warrant that the Plugin is free from security vulnerabilities, errors, or bugs.

2. We do not warrant the following regarding the Plugin:

• That the Plugin will function correctly on all server environments and WordPress configurations
• That the Plugin will function correctly after updates to WordPress, PHP, or other software
• That passkeys can be created and used on all browsers, operating systems, and authenticators
• Compatibility with third-party plugins or themes
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation under all conditions

3. We do not warrant that we will resolve any issues described in the preceding two paragraphs at our responsibility and expense. We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Plugin (including loss of access to an account or lockout).

5. Data Handling

The Plugin stores authentication data — passkey public keys, credential IDs, sign counters, and the like — on your own server (the WordPress database). Biometric data such as fingerprints or facial data never leaves the user’s device. The paid version (Rapls Passkey Pro) communicates the license key, site URL, and IP address with our license server (raplsworks.com) for license authentication and update checks. 6. Refund Policy

14-day money-back guarantee: if you are not satisfied with Rapls Passkey Pro for any reason, we will refund your purchase in full within 14 days of the purchase date. Simply email info@raplsworks.com. See the Refund Policy page for details.

More than 14 days after purchase, refunds are generally not available due to the nature of digital products. However, if you believe you were charged in error — such as a duplicate payment — contact us at any time.

The Plugin offers a free version (Free) available on WordPress.org. Before purchasing, we recommend verifying the following with the free version:

• Compatibility with your server environment and WordPress configuration (that HTTPS is enabled)
• That you can register and sign in with a passkey on your browser and device
• Compatibility with other plugins and themes you use (especially 2FA / security plugins)
• Whether the features you need are available in Pro

7. Pricing

The license price for this Plugin is subject to change without prior notice. Licenses purchased before a price change will be honored at the purchase price.

8. Support

Technical support is provided to license holders. Support is limited to basic usage of the Plugin and resolution of technical issues. Site-specific customizations and compatibility issues with third-party plugins may not be covered by support. Please note that depending on the nature of the inquiry and circumstances, we may not be able to respond immediately.

This disclaimer may be changed without prior notice. Any significant changes will be notified on this page.
